SOBRE LA OBRA
“Using the idea of transformation, taking advantage of everything that the flamenco genre offers in terms of catharsis and listening to the distant and elemental echo of Ovid’s Metamorphoses, Rose, Metal and Ash develops several choreographies about the idea of a change of state of the elements named in the title. From the rose to metal, from metal to ash, from ash to the rose … We look for ways to translate these transitions choreographically and scenically. This metaphor allows us all the freedom to create without restraints, while giving us a framework and the rules of the game. We believe that this is the best way to create: the balance between freedom and commitment to the rule, between the infinite and the formalised”.
